Dr. Martyna Elerian

Fake news, social media, and controversy – facing the challenges of globalised education in international and intercultural settings

Dr. Elerian has a PhD in International Relations and European Studies (University of Nicosia) and a Master’s degree in History (Nicolaus Copernicus University). Her research focus is on multiple dimensions of international education, including international schools, international mindedness, global citizenship and intercultural education. She is a member of the British Society for Educational Studies and a member of the Roster of professionals for the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (Cyprus). Having completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, Dr. Elerian has pedagogical competence in lesson planning & implementation, assessment, class management, and resource development. She is an Assessment Specialist for Cambridge Assessment International Education and has been involved in various international educational programs, such as Model United Nations, European Youth Parliament, International Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and World-Class Scholar Program.

Dr. Adesoji olubunmi OMONIYI

Adesoji olubunmi OMONIYI is an Associate Professor of Science Education and Curriculum Studies in the Department of science Education, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba- Akoko, Nigeria and Presently the Head of Department of Science Education. She has Ph.D. in Science Education and Curriculum studies from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 2005, and has published more than 40 articles in both national and International journals. Her area of specialization is in Science Pedagogy and Curriculum Studies with special interest in gender variable. She is fellow and awardee of Gender Studies Association of Nigeria.

He is an Executive Director and Group Managing Director of World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Ms. Niloufar Daneshkhah

Niloufar Daneshkhah is a PhD candidate and researcher from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, Iran who has been awarded a scholarship to pursue her research project on the issue of Teachers’ Professional Identity in Leiden University. To present her study at the 4th Worldcte, she was awarded a financial grant by ICLON, Leiden University Graduate School of Teaching, the Netherlands.

Ms. Veronica Gamboa

Veronica Gamboa is an Assistant Professor in De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde in Manila, Philippines where she has been teaching Business and IT subjects for more than 13 years. Veron is also the Vice President for Market Planning and Development of Eductechnologies Provider Incorporated, Philippines. She is currently pursuing a course in Doctor of Business Administration at the  De La Salle University, Manila where she also earned her degree in  Master of Business Administration.  She also worked as an Assistant Professor and Internal Verifier for U.K. and Australian-based academic programs delivered in the Philippines. A certified Lean Six Sigma GreenBelt,  and educator for Google for Education for Levels 1 and 2, her other pursuits expand to growing vegetables using the hydroponics process, managing solid wastes at home, and diving/snorkeling.

Ms. Bui Nguyen Bich Thy received Master of Primary Education degree from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education in 2021. She is now a PhD student in the Department of Education and Human Potentials Development at National Dong Hwa University. Her research areas are Teacher Education, Literacy Curriculum and Reading Instruction.

Ms. Marta Testa is a Research Fellow at the Department of Education, Languages, Intercultures, Literatures and Psychology of the University of Florence.
Holder of a double degree in Italian and French Law and an M.A. in International Law, she is currently obtaining a specialisation in Human Rights and Conflict Management at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies. She is interested in the interconnections between human rights and education.

Ms. Haeza Haron

Haeza Haron obtained her master’s degree in TESOL in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). She is currently in her final year of her PhD in the School of Languages, Literacies, and Translation, USM. Her research interests include WhatsApp, ESL Writing and Mobile Technology. In March 2020, she was awarded with best technical paper in an international conference held in Melbourne, Australia.

Silvia Iossa works in the third university mission in a spin-off of the University of Florence, in the Department of Education,
where she deals with scientific transfer and productive transformation of knowledge.She has conducted research and lectured in the field of citizenship education, inclusion and diversity.

Ms. Niamh Hickey

Ms. Niamh Hickey is a post-primary school teacher currently completing a doctorate in the University of Limerick, Ireland. Her project, which is funded by the Irish Research Council, is entitled an analysis of distributed leadership in Irish post-primary schools. Niamh’s areas of interest include distributed leadership, power and empowerment, and workplace behaviors.
